In the fall of 2007, our lives changed.  Just three months after turning 15, Courtney Christine Hall was diagnosed with a disease we had never heard of before, Wegener’s Granulomatosis.

The weeks and months that followed took Courtney and her family on such an emotional roller coaster.  We were confused - Exactly what is this disease?  We were overwhelmed - The doctors had a lot of information for us.  It was a lot to digest.  We were afraid - We did not know what the future held for Courtney. We received reports that made us wonder if she would in fact die in the near future (and one day where she almost did).  We were overwhelmed (again) at the show of support from family, friends and colleagues.  We were happy when Courtney showed signs of improvement, sad when she seemed to fall – a cycle repeated too often.  We have tried to find the right balance between facing grim facts and recognizing what was positive.

We are creating this site so that you can share this ride with us.  We have sent many updates to many people.  This site will contain those updates and provide more information and photos.
